Annual Industry Policy Conference
On Thursday, November 23rd, 2017 the SFI will hold its Annual Industry Policy Conference at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver in Vancouver. This event has become a key forum where elected officials, public servants and those in the sport fishing industry can meet, share their perspectives on trends, innovations and issues facing the recreational fishery.
This year’s theme is Sharing Knowledge. The conference begins with a hot lunch buffet at 11:30am and continues until 5pm, just in time for the Big Splash Gala Fundraiser.
Tickets are on sale now through eventbrite or by contacting our office at 604-946-0734 or 250-591-0734 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Big Splash Gala Fundraiser
We are pleased to be hosting our 19th Annual Big Splash Gala Fundraiser at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver in Vancouver, BC on Thursday November 23rd, 2017.
Over the years, many changes have occurred in the fishery. Without our efforts, the fishery and public access to BC fishery resources would look very different than they do today. Issues including those related to allocation, adequate funding for sound management of our fisheries, licensing and transport of catch, and understanding of the social and economic benefits generated by recreational fishing still persist and have potentially significant impacts on recreational opportunities now and in the future. Now more than ever, we need your support as we face these challenges so that we can continue to provide a strong, unified and determined voice for the sport fishing community.
Please join us on November 23rd at 5:30pm for an exquisite sit down dinner provided by the talented chefs at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. Our event is expected to draw more than 300 guests and supporters from all over BC and we welcome you to attend and support sport fishing in BC!
